It's mid September, and while it's technically not fall yet, it's sure starting to feel like it. After making batch after batch of refreshing, summer cocktails (have you tried the St. Elder Strawberry-Limeade yet?), we're ready to start mixing our beloved elderflower liqueur with some traditional fall flavors.
That's right, you can pair St. Elder with cranberries, apple cider and even pumpkin! Here are a few cocktails we'll be making this fall:
We love a cold glass of lemonade as much as the next person, but what we love even more is this fall-friendly twist. The combination of tart cranberries and lemon paired with sweet elderflower is absolutely delicious. Make up a pitcher and delight your friends.
4 oz. Cranberry Juice
4 oz. St. Elder
12 oz. Lemonade
6 oz. Vodka
Cranberry and Lemons for garnish
Combine all ingredients and mix in a pitcher. Pour into highball glasses over ice. Garnish with cranberries and a lemon wedge.
Since you'll undoubtedly be sipping a variety of apple cider cocktails this fall, try something a little different and go for a pear cocktail. Our Pearflower Martini combines juicy pear, elderflower and rosemary for a cocktail that's as tasty and fragrant as it is beautiful.
1.5 oz. Vodka
1.5 oz. Pear Juice
.75 oz. St. Elder
.5 oz. Rosemary Simple Syrup
Rosemary sprig for garnish
Shake all ingredients over ice and pour into a martini glass. Garnish with a rosemary sprig.
Hot Elder Cider
For a steamy treat that's full of flavor but won't weigh you down, try the Hot Elder Cider. It's just like your traditional hot cider drink, but with an elderflower twist. Don't forget to add a cinnamon stick for garnish!
3-4 oz. Apple Cider
.5 oz. St. Elder
1.5 oz. Brandy
Cinnamon Sticks for garnish
Heat ingredients in a pot on the stove til they reach desired temperature. Pour into a mug and garnish with cinnamon stick.
Pumpkin Elderflower Shandy
We couldn't create a fall cocktail list without including at least one pumpkin beverage. Grab your favorite pumpkin beer (there are so many to choose from) and enhance the fall flavor with elderflower and orange. A little grated nutmeg on top is just the extra spice it needs to make this your new fall favorite.
1 Pumpkin Beer
1 oz. St. Elder
1 oz. Orange Juice
Nutmeg and Orange Wheel for garnish
Combine ingredients in a pint glass. Garnish with grated nutmeg and an orange wheel.
